    The Municipal Innovation eXchange (The MIX) is a collaborative effort of the four statewide local government associations that represent every municipality and school district in the state. NYCOM, the NYS Association of Counties, the Association of Towns of the State of NY, and the NYS School Boards Association have created The MIX to help local governments maximize their effectiveness and efficiency through education, compiling and sharing local success stories, identifying and reforming barriers to efficiency, and establishing standards for evaluating when a shared service makes sense.
