We are very interested in soliciting content for the NYCOM Municipal Bulletin from our members and friends. You can either submit an article outright, or you can submit a complete proposal with an idea and how you would go about writing about it. Please include suggestions as to theme/month and section where you think the article could go. The more specific you are, the more it helps us "see" the article and how it can fit into an issue.
The editorial calendar and deadlines are listed below. Please be aware that articles should be approximately 800 words. The word count guidelines need to be followed as closely as possible. We recommend photos and graphics. Photos and graphics should be at least 300 dpi and sent via e-mail or uploaded with your article draft or proposal (with photo credit as appropriate). Please ensure your facts are accurate with detailed figures, statistics and quotes cited by reputable sources using an appropriate format. It is the writer's responsibility to include citations when needed.
NYCOM reserves the right to evaluate and choose story proposals and submissions that we feel are deemed appropriate for our readership. Articles will appear with name, title and company/organization of author. Articles may also be archived and made available to our members for an extended period of time.
