The Village of Rockville Centre implemented a storytelling workshop for its senior citizens. A series of five workshops taught the basics of effective storytelling, not only encouraging the seniors to share their stories, but teaching them to do it effectively and easily. This program has benefitted the seniors who have participated and has also brought the entire community together in a positive way. In addition, the performances were taped and edited and will soon be shown on the Village’s cable television channel.

The Village of Rockville Centre introduced a village-wide video contest themed, “I Love Rockville Centre,” which encouraged residents to showcase what they love about the Village. The project served as a great public relations vehicle and created an atmosphere of friendly competition and camaraderie, while producing positive, no-cost public relations content for the Village's television channel, as well as several thousand ‘hits’ on You-Tube.

When elected in 2016, Cohoes Mayor Shawn Morse partnered with the Executive Director of the Palace Theater in Albany to make the Cohoes Music Hall one of the fastest growing music halls in the Capital Region. Prior to the partnership, the Music Hall, which opened in 1874, was operated by a private group responsible for programming and the city kept ownership of the building and was responsible for maintenance and utilities. The cost to the city was $90,000 a year and little revenue if any was received by the city. The group failed to pay its loans to the Cohoes LDC and the Music Hall was on the cusp of closing its doors.

Village of Sea Cliff

This project was the designing and building of a Performing Arts Gazebo at Sea Cliff Beach in the Village of Sea Cliff. It included the expansion of the Beach Pavilion building and the creation of a state of the art commercial kitchen.

The Village of Macedon's Butterfly Nature Trail was developed as a destination point for the community and for its visitors.  This accessible, healthy place offers affordable family time, acts as an educational vehicle and a natural place where people with different types of disabilities may enjoy the nature therapy trail, learn about nature and history, and and interact with nature.

The Saranac Lake 6er Program is an economic development / tourism destination enhancement using the community's natural resources. The challenge was created to help grow Saranac Lake as a tourism destination by leveraging one of the community's tremendous assets, namely, proximity to the Adirondack Wilderness. The goal is to get hikers to spend time in the Saranac Lake area and spend time and money at lodging, restaurant and retail businesses in the community.

The Village of Rockville Centre and Molloy College entered into a 20-year agreement to improve the athletic facilities at the Village's sports complex. This extensive renovation was accomplished through a public-private partnership between the Village of Rockville Centre and Molloy College, whereby the Village supplied the land and Molloy College, the capital to build the new complex.

Rockville Centre finished the installation of an artificial "field turf" system on two athletic fields, for the approximate cost of $1.2 million. By partnering with a local private college, and allowing limited college field usage, the village substantially increased playing time for all sports clubs and high school teams, saved yearly maintenance costs and water consumption, and delivered two NCAA Class I sports fields.

The Village of Colonie completed the "Frank A. Leak Amphitheater for the Arts" project. The amphitheater is a facility for use by the general public for awards ceremonies, weddings, and other community based activities.

Village of Angola

The Claddagh Commission's goal to provide a work environment for their clients by purchasing and restoring the old Angola Theater was the catalyst that instigated the revitalization of the Village of Angola. The Claddagh Commission is a non-profit organization that provides residential and day services to disabled adults.

City of Elmira

The Coach USA Center was intended to rejuvenate Elmira's Central Business District and was identified as the major catalytic project in the City's Comprehensive Master Plan adopted by the Elmira City Council in December 1998. This project is the result of a collaborative effort of many parties including the private sector, city, county, state, and federal governments, and has resulted in the Central Business District becoming a destination for sports and entertainment in the region.
