NYCOM Fall Training School for
City & Village Officials

NYCOM and the Office of the State Comptroller (OSC) collaborate each year to create an exciting program for approximately 400 local officials known as the Fall Training School.

Municipal officials from across the state made up primarily of Mayors, Clerks, Finance Officers, Attorneys, Treasurers, Clerk/Treasurers, Comptrollers and Trustees, gather together to attend a variety of innovative sessions and training events specializing in municipal law, government operations, and local finance issues.

Several New York State Agencies and divisions of the NYS Office of the State Comptroller are available to assist local officials throughout the entire conference for free one-on-one consultations.

The Fall Training School hosts the annual business meetings for the NYS Association of City and Village Clerks and the NYS Society of Municipal Finance Officers.  These business meetings also serve as their installation banquet of new officers.
