Local Government Achievement Awards

NYCOM and the Empire State Report magazine co-sponsor the annual Local Government Achievement Awards program each spring where NYCOM’s member municipalities are encouraged to submit applications for consideration. Applicants are asked to submit projects in the areas of Economic Development, Public Works, Public Safety, Government Administration and/or Technology.

The awards are presented at NYCOM's Annual Meeting in May, and each project is featured in the summer edition of the Empire State Report, as well as NYCOM's Municipal Bulletin.

If you have submitted your program/project to NYCOM's Award Program 'Center Stage for Municipal Success Stories,' your submissions are automatically eligible for the 2012 Local Government Achievement Awards.

Below is a list of the winning projects/programs for 2011.  For a complete description of these programs and past winners, please visit the Best Practices section of this website.
